Thatcher Chemical Co – Technical Services-     Salt Lake City       September 2000 to Present

 

•          Integral team science member with experience working under EPA, OSHA, USP, cGMP/GLP, non cGMP, in chemical-pharmaceutical manufacturing and production environment.

•          Carries out responsibilities in accordance with the organizations, policies, procedures and state, federal and local laws.

•          Complains with all cGLP/cGMP regulations and safety requirements, laboratory SOP’s and company policies.

•          Perform routine analytical sampling and testing (SOP based) on batches of finishes products and manufacturing components.

•          Control of chemical inventory room and purchase material.

•          Assisting in testing of bacteriological waste water and water for production and pharmaceutical, preparation growth media, reports data. 

•          Collect water samples for biochemical testing of waste water, municipal water and chemical products analysis in pharm and chemical plant.        

•          Prepare written summaries of testing results.

•          Prepare written QA documents such as Certificates of Analysis and Certificates and Compliance.

•          Maintains appropriate documentation (records and lab notebooks) as required by SOP’s and GLP’s.

•          Perform routine calibration of laboratory equipment such as pH meters, refracrometers, auto-titrators, viscometers, analytical balances, etc.

•          Perform routine preparation and certification of standardized reagents.

•          Prepare and maintains volumetric test and solutions.

•          Provide technical support and assistance during the development of new testing methods and procedures.

•          Assist manufacturing staff with production based in production necessities issues trough batch testing and lab preparation.

•          Perform analytical procedures for water analysis, standardizing and identification of volumetric, gravimeter and test solutions.

•          Complete analysis of production products in process and components testing physical and chemical characteristics.

•          Perform testing methodology used to control raw materials, production intermediates, and final products.

•          Prepare reports, documentation of QC, record archival, chemical hygiene plan for laboratory keeping the QC aspects of the Chempax database current.

•          Experience with wet chemistry including pH meter, viscometers, titrators  and analytical instrumentation include EQ equipment like GC, ICP, UV-Vis, FTIR, dissolution Karl Fisher,Auto Titrators.

•          Prepare standard and sample solutions for HPLC and assist in performing HPLC.

•          Disposes acid and organic solvent waste according to Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) regulations.

•          Demonstrated communications, organization and analytical skills.

•          Proficiency with Microsoft Office. - Strong hands-on chemistry and computer aptitude

•          Complies with housekeeping and safety practices, washes glassware and ensures cleanliness of testing equipment.
